The first Madcra board
meeting for 2004, was called to order at 7:00 at Chuck’s Restaurant.
The following items were
discussed.
- Need feature sponsors
for the 2004 season. Sponsor fee is $500.
- Discussed getting a
booth at the swap meet at DM fairgrounds, at the end of March. Check into
sharing a booth.
- Discussed ordering tires
again this year. Contact members to see who wants them and how many.
- Madcra dues must be paid
by May 1 in order to avoid a penalty.
- It was voted by the
board that Sue Dennis does not need to be an associate member in order to
stay on as treasurer.
- We have 36 t-shirts left
from last year. It was discussed as to what to do with them. They will
be sold for a discount or given away at the races.
- T-shirts for 2004 season
were discussed. Board decided that they will be just Madcra t-shirts. No
year or nationals will be put on them. Need members input/ideas for
design.
- Point system was
discussed due to growing class.
- Jefferson track was
discussed.
- Rule changes for 2005
were discussed. Suggestions will be taken up to July from members . Then
they will be printed up and voted on by all members in August.
- A pre-season tech was
discussed.
- Inspection stickers were
discussed. Need to find someone that would like to make them for us.
- It was discussed about
the members getting their trading cards made this year. Would like to see
more.
- Sam Coe will be doing
the teching again this year. Needs someone to help.
- General meetings will be
held every first Thursday of each month, unless otherwise posted.
- The first general
meeting for 2004, will be Thursday , March 4th at 7:00 at
Chucks Resturant
